CJC 1295 with DAC (DAC:GRF) — Research Grade Peptide, ≥98% Purity (HPLC)
Long-acting GHRH analog. Lyophilized powder. Lot-specific COA included.
CJC 1295 with DAC, also known as DAC:GRF (Drug Affinity Complex:Growth Hormone-Releasing Factor), is a synthetic peptide analog of growth hormone-releasing hormone (GHRH) modified with a maleimidopropionic acid (MPA) linker that covalently binds to serum albumin following administration. This albumin conjugation is the defining feature of the DAC version: it extends the peptide’s half-life to approximately 5.8–8.1 days, compared with the roughly 30-minute half-life of the no-DAC form.
The peptide sequence is identical to Modified GRF 1-29 (four substitutions relative to native GHRH: D-Ala at position 2, Gln at position 8, Ala at position 15, and Leu at position 27), but the addition of the DAC moiety changes the pharmacokinetic profile fundamentally. A single administration produces sustained elevation of plasma growth hormone and IGF-1 rather than the discrete pulses produced by the no-DAC variant.
Supplied as a sterile-filtered, lyophilized powder for in vitro and preclinical research applications. Each lot is independently verified for purity and identity and ships with a Certificate of Analysis.

Note: CJC 1295 with DAC and CJC-1295 without DAC share the same CAS number (446262-90-4) in many catalogs, and the two molecules cannot be distinguished by CAS number alone. The critical differentiator is molecular weight: the DAC version is 3647.19 g/mol, while the no-DAC version is 3367.9 g/mol. Verify the molecular weight on your COA matches 3647.19 g/mol before accepting the lot. Suppliers also list a trifluoroacetate (TFA) salt form with the same formula and a molecular weight around 3401 g/mol; confirm the salt form against your COA. CJC 1295 with DAC
Research applications
CJC 1295 with DAC is used in laboratory settings to investigate:
-
Sustained GHRH receptor activation — albumin-conjugated peptide producing prolonged elevation of growth hormone and IGF-1 in preclinical models, with a half-life of 5.8–8.1 days
-
Growth hormone and IGF-1 pharmacokinetics — comparative study of pulsatile (no-DAC) versus sustained (DAC) GHRH analog administration in animal models
-
Albumin-binding peptide engineering — the maleimidopropionic acid linker as a model for extending peptide half-life through covalent albumin conjugation
-
Analytical method development — LC-MS/MS differentiation of CJC-1295 with and without DAC, a known challenge in peptide quality control given the shared CAS number
-
Comparative GHRH analog studies — head-to-head pharmacokinetic comparison with native GRF(1-29), sermorelin, and tesamorelin in preclinical models
Handling and storage
Reconstitute under aseptic conditions using sterile water or an appropriate aqueous buffer. CJC 1295 with DAC is soluble in water. Aliquot immediately after reconstitution to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Lyophilized powder is stable for up to 2 years at −20 °C under sealed, desiccated, light-protected conditions. Reconstituted solutions should be stored at 2–8 °C and used within 14–21 days. Do not freeze reconstituted solution.
CJC 1295 with DAC For laboratory use by qualified personnel only.
