Mazdutide Peptide (IBI362, LY3305677) — Research Grade Peptide, ≥98% Purity (HPLC)
Dual GLP-1/glucagon receptor agonist. Lyophilized powder. Lot-specific COA included.
Mazdutide Peptide, also known as IBI362 or LY3305677, is a synthetic 29-amino acid peptide engineered as a dual agonist at the glucagon-like peptide-1 (GLP-1) receptor and the glucagon (GCG) receptor. The compound is modelled on the endogenous peptide hormone oxyntomodulin, a naturally occurring dual agonist that activates both receptors. Its extended half-life is achieved through a C20 fatty diacid moiety conjugated via a linker to the lysine residue at position 20, promoting albumin binding and once-weekly dosing in preclinical models.
The dual mechanism distinguishes Mazdutide Peptide from selective GLP-1 receptor agonists. GLP-1R activation mediates insulin secretion, appetite suppression, and gastric emptying, while GCGR activation increases energy expenditure and hepatic fatty acid oxidation. The hypothesised therapeutic advantage of this dual approach is preferential loss of adipose tissue rather than lean mass. In cell culture, mazdutide stimulates adenylyl cyclase activity via both GCGR and GLP-1R.
Supplied as a sterile-filtered, lyophilized powder for in vitro and preclinical research applications. Each lot is independently verified for purity and identity and ships with a Certificate of Analysis.

Research applications
Mazdutide Peptide is used in laboratory settings to investigate:
-
Dual incretin receptor signaling — simultaneous activation of GLP-1R and GCGR, and downstream cAMP accumulation via adenylyl cyclase in transfected cell lines
-
Hepatic lipid metabolism and MAFLD/MASH research — suppression of lipid uptake, de novo lipogenesis, and lipid droplet formation, primarily through modulation of the PPAR signaling pathway
-
Diabetes-associated cognitive dysfunction — mechanistic studies involving downregulation of VGlut2 expression and modulation of NMDA/GABA receptor crosstalk
-
Cardiac inotropy studies — increased contractile force in isolated human atrial preparations, with adenylyl cyclase stimulation via both GCGR and GLP-1R
-
Energy expenditure and adipose tissue research — GCGR-mediated lipolysis and thermogenesis in diet-induced obese (DIO) mouse models
-
Analytical method development — LC-MS/MS quantification and reference standard preparation for dual agonist peptide analysis
Handling and storage
Reconstitute under aseptic conditions using sterile water or an appropriate aqueous buffer. Mazdutide is soluble in water. Aliquot immediately after reconstitution to avoid repeated freeze-thaw cycles. Lyophilized powder is stable for up to 2 years at −20 °C under sealed, desiccated, light-protected conditions. Reconstituted solutions should be stored at 2–8 °C and used within 14–21 days. Do not freeze reconstituted solution. Mazdutide Peptide
